Europeana Academy: online training environment for cultural heritage professionals

Finding ways to support and foster digital and creative skills among cultural heritage professionals has been on the agenda of the Europeana Initiative for quite a while. The recently launched Europeana Academy is a training programme for professionals working with, in and around cultural heritage. It aims to provide participants with a comprehensive and enriching learning experience, and to support professionals to develop new skills and knowledge.

The Academy combines two aspects. The first is a digital training platform through which you can follow online, self-paced training on topics from copyright in cultural heritage collections, to using Europeana’s APIs, to IIIF, to data statistics and aggregation. The second is live, instructor-led training sessions which offer you the chance to follow these courses in real time with the support of an expert instructor.
